چکیده
Abstract This work aims to improve the knowledge on dynamic thermophysical characterization of building envelopes by comparing three numerical methods applied an experimental wall made masonry brick. The thermal conductivity λ and capacity ρCp are determined performing a data fitting optimization between measurements heat flux resulting from these models. device consists box with controlled ambiance through radiator linked thermostatic bath placed inside box, opposite side facing wall. Three different were examined: transfer matrix (HTM) analytical method using HTM, finite element (FEM) comsol multiphysics® software, simulation model (BSM) trnsys® Type 56 coupled Genopt® tool. reproducibility was also validated two other datasets (one random one harmonic). obtained results satisfactory for both studied deviations less than 5% methods. logging duration boundary conditions found be around five days while in harmonic sufficient solution converge.

Natural vorticity boundary conditions on solid walls
We derive boundary conditions for the vorticity equation with solid wall boundaries. The formulation uses a Dirichlet condition for the normal component of vorticity, and Neumann type conditions for the tangential components. In a Galerkin (integral) formulation the tangential condition is natural, i.e. it is enforced by a right-hand side functional and does not impose a boundary constraint on ...
متن کاملRandom-roughness hydrodynamic boundary conditions.
We report results of lattice Boltzmann simulations of a high-speed drainage of liquid films squeezed between a smooth sphere and a randomly rough plane. A significant decrease in the hydrodynamic resistance force as compared with that predicted for two smooth surfaces is observed. However, this force reduction does not represent slippage. The computed force is exactly the same as that between e...
متن کاملVibration analysis of FGM cylindrical shells under various boundary conditions
In this paper, a unified analytical approach is proposed to investigate vibrational behavior of functionally graded shells. Theoretical formulation is established based on Sanders’ thin shell theory. The modal forms are assumed to have the axial dependency in the form of Fourier series whose derivatives are legitimized using Stokes transformation. Material properties are assumed to be graded in...
متن کاملEnergy Saving Analysis In Building Walls Through Thermal Insulation System
In this study, we discuss about the energy saving in different type of building walls by using optimum insulation thickness with suitable insulation material. The energy saving is maintained by reducing the energy consumption in buildings. Heat losses from building envelope have a major share in waste of energy. So it is essential to save the energy by using optimum insulation thickness. The in...
متن کاملAbelian duality, walls and boundary conditions in diverse dimensions
We systematically apply the formalism of duality walls to study the action of duality transformations on boundary conditions and local and nonlocal operators in two, three, and four-dimensional free field theories. In particular, we construct a large class of D-branes for two-dimensional sigma-models with toroidal targets and determine the action of the T-duality group on it. It is manifest in ...
